Jet Airway’s presence in the heart of Gulf Countries, Saudi Arabia.

In my apparent cram on Jet’s being entered in Arabia I made an attempted tp find out which countries and their respective cities have been targetted, planes used along with ballpark price and even the reason of their presence in Saudi Arabia and many more.
This manuscript was presented at the:-

Mumbai University, March 10-17, 2010 at Mumbai.

Abstract
Jet Airways serve 3 cities in Saudi Arabia including the capital Riyadh, Jeddah and in process with Damman. The price offered by Jet Airways with respect to departure from Mumbai to arrival at the capital of Saudi Arabia is 289 $ one-way ticket.

JetLite is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jet Airways India Ltd. and was acquired by Jet Airways in April 2007.

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, will launch services to Riyadh, the capital and largest city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from Mumbai, effective August 6, 2009 before that it had already initiated its services to Jeddah. India's Jet Airways would launch of new daily flights from Dammam, Saudi Arabia to Thiruvananthapuram in the southern Indian state of Kerala, starting from March 28, 2010. Dammam will be the tenth destination in the carrier's Gulf network and its third in the kingdom. The airline offered four services a week on the Mumbai-Riyadh sector, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays respectively. It also functioned through Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

According to Mr. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO, Jet Airways,
Saudi Arabia is a very important market for Jet Airways on account of the large volume of traffic to the Gulf Kingdom, to and from India, and an important addition to the airline’s growing Gulf network. With the launch of our second daily service to Saudi Arabia, we are confident of further reinforcing our position as among the leading carriers on the Indo-Gulf sector.”
It was in January this year, after the three year moratorium imposed by the Union Cabinet in 2004 on allowing only Air India and its subsidiaries to fly to Saudi Arabia expired, that the Governments of India and Saudi Arabia allowed more than one airline from each side to operate between the two Nations. The decision paved the way for Jet Airways to apply to the Government for being permitted to operate to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is the second country after Dubai to which Jet Airways has been permitted to operate flights in recent weeks. Jet Airways started flying to the Gulf region earlier this year and currently operates regular services to Abu Dhabi, Doha, Muscat, Bahrain and Kuwait
Reasons for the expansion at Saudi Arabia are as follows:
1.      Competitive
2.      Increase in the Saturation level.
3.      Fuel Price Hike
4.      Only private airline with international operation

Synopsis of the conclusion:-
With the introduction of the Jet Airway flights which will encounter 8 cities in the Gulf, including Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Riyadh. It would be appropriate for Jet airways to consolidate more and more to create a huge landmark in the airline sector with a greater market share and global presence.
